Guidelines

  • Character
    • 2000 triangles for highest lod.
    • 1024*1024 texture for Color and Bump.
    • 512*512 texture for Essr.
    • Max four bones affecting the same vertex (preferably at most two).
  • Items
    • Much dependent on ingame size.
  • Weapons
    • 1000 triangles for highest lod.
    • 1024*1024 texture for Color and Bump.
    • 512*512 texture for Essr.
  • First person arm
    • 1000 triangles for highest lod.
    • 1024*1024 texture for Color and Bump.
    • 512*512 texture for Essr.

Textures are saved in tga file format.

Textures are named after "model"_(typeOfMap)

  • Example: Tomoe_essr

Color map

  • 24 bit tga for regular color maps
  • 32 bit tga for color maps with including alphachannel for transparency

Bump map

  • 24 bit tga for regular bump maps
  • 32 bit tga is not used for bump maps

Essr map

  • 24 bit tga for ess maps
  • 32 bit tga for essr maps, where the alpha channel defines the reflection areas.

Textures

Engine supports tga (24 and 32bit) and jpg.

Models

Static Mesh

Consist of two diffrent files:

  • .bo2 , bone data.
  • .lo2 , mesh data.

Animated Mesh

Animations are stored in .am2 files.

Sound

Engine supports ogg and wav.
